North Fork Wedding Photographers

If you recently became engaged and are searching Google for North Fork wedding Photographers, you came to the right place. I have photographed many weddings on North Fork from vineyards to backyards.

As a nature lover, I especially love photographing the beautiful scenery in this region of the East End. It makes for a most picturesque backdrop for wedding photos.

This wedding photo was taken in Cutchogue, the heart of Long Island wine country; and it must be one of the most scenic spots on the North Fork.

It also happens to be the backyard of this bride and groom and one of their requests was to have a portrait taken against this breathtaking view.

Here is a perfect example of when a prospective client will ask me, "Have you ever photographed a wedding at my venue before?"

I obviously could not have photographed a wedding in this backyard before.

Backyard weddings happen once for a specific client.

However, what does matter, when hiring a photographer is selecting one that has experience and lighting skills. Here, using my lighting assistant to hold my strobe allowed me to retain the color/detail in the water and sky and illuminate the bride and groom too. Selecting the proper lens, (my Nikon 14-24mm) allowed me to capture this amazing view and perspective of this bride and groom's wedding location.

It is also important that you connect with the photographer's work. I encourage prospective clients to thoroughly review my portfolio, blogs, full galleries and social media pages to become better acquainted with my photographic style and voice. Moreover, you want to connect with them as a person as they will be with you all day. This is one hire that is crucial to have either a phone chat, skype meeting or in person get together before booking. I strive to make my clients comfortable and at ease in front of the camera and have the experience to manage large bridal parties and families too. If you do not connect with your photographer, it may show up in your expressions, body language and hinder you from fully enjoying your special day.

Backyard weddings on the Eastern End of Long Island are quite popular and I love photographing them.

Many times, couples plan a mini destination wedding on the North Fork at a relative’s house or summer cottage or rent out a home. One summer, a bride's family rented out the Dome House in Southold.

And if you are a couple from New York, it is like having a destination wedding without having to get on a plane.

Whether you are planning a North Fork wedding in a backyard, vineyard, barn, farm, country club or mansion you will be surrounded by rustic and natural beauty that surrounds this beloved area of Long Island.

Furthermore, your guests can plan a weekend getaway out of your wedding and enjoy all the unique charm that the North Fork is famous for. And Cutchogue has many well know vineyards in the heart of Long Island wine country.

If you want to plan a wedding that is off the beaten path of typical Long Island catering halls, consider the many options that the North Fork has to offer to host your wedding. And in the years to come, you can revisit the North Fork for a day trip, your Anniversary or a long weekend which will allow you to fondly reminisce about your wedding day.
