Sharing some of the images I photographed of the Pickerell family at the Hallockville Museum & Farm in Riverhead.
I was deeply honored and extremely humbled that Sherry Pickerell invited me to take some family portraits for her because she herself is an amazing/talented photographer located on the North Fork of Long Island.
Sherry is more than a colleague to me though. . . I am so grateful to call her my friend.
Meeting her husband Jason and their two daughters was an absolute joy. I felt as if I had known all of them a lot longer – I felt so comfortable – I love when that happens. . .
Shelby and Meg got out of their car and greeted me with outstretched arms, beaming smiles and big hugs.
Warm, loving and down to earth are just a few adjectives (which happen to be some of my favorite personal qualities) that describe the heart of this wonderful family.
They all are truly very special. . .
I have always wanted to photograph a magnificent head of curly hair just like Meg’s…My wish came true!
