I am so excited to share with you this Shelter Island engagement Session!
Shelter Island is one of my favorite places on Long Island.
So when Erica & Arel contacted me to photograph their wedding and engagement session there I was thrilled!
Erica and Arel love Shelter Island too and recently bought a house there.
Our first stop was Quinipet sailing School where Arel used to teach sailing several years ago.
We then visited the private residence of Westmoreland Farms, various pit stops and finally Shell Beach.
This session has a whimsical and colorful flair to it – which I really love.
A smorgasbord of nautical, architecture, gardens, farm animals, history and a breathtaking East End sunset to cap it off.
A tiny people/big landscape image…I rarely do them but this scene seemed to call for it.
Shelter Island has so much sheer natural beauty.
I love using leading lines in my images and I also love how Erica and Arel are framed amongst these gorgeous trees within the patch of sunlight.
Animal lovers…Animals just know who loves them.
This unique garden surrounded by stone walls and interesting statues was built in 1905.
I think I am including roosters in all future sessions…
Arel went into the coop and picked out this bird…maybe it was the similar hair styles… lol
Reflections are always fun to incorporate during engagement sessions – like here, with this 1921 Ford Model T.
Classic cars stir up nostalgic admiration of the way vehicles use to be built – as well as bygone eras…
As for myself, I can remember my grandfather driving his 1951 Ford Victoria and all the memories tied to it.
Reflections, nostalgia and memories – they are woven together in all our lives.
Looking forward to Erica & Arel’s Shelter Island wedding this September at The Pridwin Beach Hotel.
These photographs actually gave me the chills!! This is the most outstanding work you’ve ever done!! Wow!!
Beautiful work Lisa!
