Jedediah Hawkins Inn Wedding
Last month I photographed Kristen & Jason’s intimate North Fork wedding at the historic Jedediah Hawkins Inn in Jamesport.
I’ve been wanting to photograph a wedding here for some time – so I was delighted when Kristen found my website online.
Originally built by Captain Jedediah Hawkins in 1863 – it has been beautifully restored.
Using nature and architecture thrill me and both of these elements abound here providing wonderful photo opportunities indoors and out.
Bridal preparation began in the charming belvedere suite.
What an interesting and unique space!
I love all the angles, roof lines, exposed brick, nooks, artifacts and the crowning touch is a private staircase that climbs up to a cupola for amazing views in the day and stargazing at night.
They opted for a first look before their Ketubah signing, followed by their ceremony on the lawn.
The cocktail hour included lawn games such as a giant Jenga that entertained their guests before dinner was served in the solarium.
Cake cutting and dancing took place in the barn and a wonderful time was had by all.
Whether you are getting married , looking for a boutique hotel or a fine dining experience on your next North Fork excursion, be sure to check out Jedediah Hawkins Inn; you will be glad you did and it will become the first of many visits.
Sharing some of my favorites from their special day.
This very special guest heard that Kristen loved animals and decided to crash her wedding …
Kristen and Jason each circled around one another seven times.
Representing the seven wedding blessings and seven days of creation and demonstrating that they are the center of one another’s world.
They hand wrote and read each other their personalized wedding vows. I loved the stories they shared and their expressions.
Their cake topper included their adorable dog Muppet on the left.
Thank you ever so much Kristen & Jason for choosing me to photograph your beautiful wedding.
Wishing you both a lifetime of love and happiness.
