Montauk Proposal Photography | Engagement in December
I am so excited to share my Montauk Lighthouse proposal photography on my blog.
Getting engaged in Montauk is magical – especially at the Lighthouse in December.
It brings me great joy to photograph one of the happiest days of a couple’s life – documenting their special moment against the beauty of the Montauk landscape.
Every year the iconic Montauk Lighthouse is decorated with Christmas lights – which makes for spectacular engagement photos as well as a festive time.
Montauk in December is enchanting – tranquil and relaxing during what is considered the “off season.”
And with the summer crowds gone- planning a proposal is a little easier too – regarding reserving hotels and restaurants as well as affording you more privacy.
It can be chilly – so dress warm – but it is so worth it!
This particular day we had a soft cover of clouds and turbulent waves below the bluff which added to the wintry mood.
I especially enjoyed capturing this couple’s reactions and expressions not to mention stunning engagement ring!
Sharing some of my favorites from Bobby & Grace’s proposal.
Well done Bobby!
I always like to include photos that showcase the beauty of nature and the environment where the engagement took place – setting the scene .
For the above photo – my wonderful assistant Frank held an off camera light to capture this fun engagement portrait in front of the decorated Lighthouse.
Montauk Lighthouse photography proposals are very popular during the holidays and dates book up fast.
Why not make your proposal even more picturesque with the backdrop of the Montauk Lighthouse decorated with Christmas lights?!
Here is a small sample of my photography in Montauk – here on my blog.
