I recently photographed two East End weddings.<\/p>\n

Last month I photographed a bride whose mother handmade her daughter’s wedding dress.<\/p>\n

This month I photographed a bride that handmade her own wedding gown.<\/p>\n

What are the chances of that?<\/p>\n

In both instances I became excited and grateful that I would be documenting these weddings.<\/p>\n

To have worked with such talented and creative women that poured their hearts into making something so meaningful has left me feeling truly blessed.<\/p>\n

I haven’t blogged these weddings yet, so I am only going to share a handful of images or so.<\/p>\n

\"Wedding<\/a><\/p>\n

Hanging in the bridal suite of the beautiful Pellegrini Vineyards.<\/p>\n

This dress awaits Jessica to get into it , as well as the amazing sash her Mom created for it which was the crowning touch.<\/p>\n

I love the seaming and the different textures.<\/p>\n

\"Wedding<\/a>\"North<\/a><\/p>\n

How romantic is this dress?<\/p>\n

I love this sweet portrait of the bride and groom on the front lawn of Pellegrini Vineyards.<\/p>\n

I will be blogging this wedding soon and cannot wait to share more.<\/p>\n

\"Shelter<\/a><\/p>\n

This bride transported her gown to Shelter Island and brought her dress form with her, which I thought was a really nice touch.<\/p>\n

The wedding was held at her grandmother’s house.<\/p>\n

I think the 1970’s decor adds an interesting element to the story of getting married at Grandma’s house as well as vibrant color – which I love to use in my work.\"Shelter<\/a><\/p>\n

I adore the buttons going up the back of the gown and the two ties at the shoulders.<\/p>\n

\"Shelter<\/a><\/p>\n

Placing the bride on this dock \u00a0with some height showcased her exquisite gown and its’ wonderful seaming\/draping ,allowing it to hang down.<\/p>\n

The unique train had “lily pad” like flowers sewn onto the \u00a0back of it.<\/p>\n

It truly was a work of art.<\/p>\n

I feel so honored to have met these wonderful women and to document their \u00a0labors of love.<\/p>\n
