Brecknock Hall Wedding | Rebecca and David | We’ve Only Just Begun<\/h2>\n

This recent wedding at Brecknock Hall<\/a> is extra special to me.<\/p>\n

Rebecca wrote me the warmest and most complimentary inquiry, moreover; she shared that she and her fiance David were 61 years old and never married before.<\/p>\n

Upon reading her email, I knew I immediately wanted to work with this couple.<\/p>\n

However, (brokenheartedly) I was already booked for her date; so I referred her to my photographer friend.<\/p>\n

Months went by and Rebecca emailed me again as her wedding date had to be rescheduled because she tripped while out running and broke her shoulder.<\/p>\n

She expected (and has made) a full recovery and wanted to know if I was available for her new date (I was! February 29th – A Leap Year wedding!)<\/p>\n

Rebecca arrived at Brecknock Hall to get ready in the lovely upstairs bridal suite after completing her morning run!<\/p>\n

She looked radiant in her Pronovias’<\/a> gown and her bridesmaids dresses were made out of their family tartan from Ireland.<\/p>\n

Surrounded by their closest family and friends as well as Rebecca’s 91 year old mom they exchanged vows at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church <\/a>in Greenport<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Rebecca’s brother, dressed in a kilt; played bagpipes as they exited the church.<\/p>\n

Rebecca and David first met in 1986 at the law firm where they had both been working.<\/p>\n

Over the next three decades their paths continued to cross as they both lived separate lives and changed jobs and even went on a casual date.<\/p>\n

But it wasn’t until 2011 that their relationship turned romantic and the rest is history.<\/p>\n

They danced to The Carpenter’s, “We’ve Only Just Begun”<\/a> for their first official dance.<\/p>\n

A perfect and poignant song choice as they embark on this new chapter as husband and wife.<\/p>\n

Sharing some of my favorites from their wonderful day.<\/p>\n
