{"id":7655,"date":"2015-11-05T09:20:44","date_gmt":"2015-11-05T09:20:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lisanicolosi.com\/?p=7655"},"modified":"2019-01-28T13:48:46","modified_gmt":"2019-01-28T18:48:46","slug":"long-island-wedding-photographer-photojournalistic-artistic-ny-photographer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lisanicolosi.com\/blog\/2015\/11\/05\/long-island-wedding-photographer-photojournalistic-artistic-ny-photographer\/","title":{"rendered":"Image of the Week: There&#8217;s Only One You |Long Island Wedding Photographer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I want to share the backstory for this week&#8217;s \u00a0&#8220;Image of the Week&#8221;&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Jennifer was referred to me by one of my previous brides who has since become one of my dearest friends &#8230;thus setting the tone for a great connection between us.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">From the first email that \u00a0Jennifer sent me inquiring about my photography she was warm, down to earth and trusting .<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Jennifer shared that planning her wedding had not been easy because her precious Dad had suddenly and recently passed away.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Throughout the next several months I got to know Jennifer a little bit better and I got to witness her strength, grace and resilience.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Fast forward to her wedding day &#8211; I arrived at her childhood home for her bridal prep photos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">As with any bridal prep area &#8211; whether it be in a home or at a hotel &#8211; \u00a0it is usually bustling with activity, bridesmaids, relatives, garment bags, luggage, water bottles etc etc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">It can be challenging to create images devoid of all of this periphery &#8211; artful \u00a0images that are not \u00a0merely what one would see at face value &#8211; but creative imagery that tells a story&#8230;in this case <strong><span style=\"color: #fc9292;\"><em>Jennifer&#8217;s story<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Which is what I am going for when I am entrusted to photograph a wedding day.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Storytelling with an observant eye and a sensitive heart that pertains to Jennifer&#8217;s life &#8211; not from a random\/obvious shot list &#8211; or from someone else&#8217;s Pinterest board &#8211; not from a magazine article stating,&#8221;Must Have Shots&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">There is only one Jennifer . . . \u00a0only one you\/me.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">And because Jennifer trusted me to do just that&#8230; I was able to create something special for her &#8211; unique to her and no one else &#8211; thus sharing \u00a0part of her story.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">As I walked into Jennifer&#8217;s family room &#8211; there she sat &#8211; facing the light coming through the \u00a0sliding glass doors as her talented make up artist (Christina Doepp) applied her makeup.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I pulled up a dining room chair and shot through the woodwork&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">And in between them \u00a0hung a painting \u00a0on the wall of her beloved Dad.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/lisanicolosi.com\/2015\/11\/05\/long-island-wedding-photographer-photojournalistic-artistic-ny-photographer\/long-island-wedding-photographer-i-1-of-1-2\/\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7666 size-full\" title=\"Long Island Wedding Photographer - East End Weddings - North Fork Weddings\" src=\"http:\/\/lisanicolosi.goodgallery.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/05-7655-post\/Long-Island-Wedding-Photographer-I-1-of-1-2.jpg\" alt=\"LONG ISLAND WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER\" width=\"1100\" height=\"732\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lisanicolosi.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/05-7655-post\/Long-Island-Wedding-Photographer-I-1-of-1-2.jpg 1100w, https:\/\/lisanicolosi.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/05-7655-post\/Long-Island-Wedding-Photographer-I-1-of-1-2-385x256.jpg 385w, https:\/\/lisanicolosi.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/05-7655-post\/Long-Island-Wedding-Photographer-I-1-of-1-2-768x511.jpg 768w, https:\/\/lisanicolosi.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/05-7655-post\/Long-Island-Wedding-Photographer-I-1-of-1-2-1024x681.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1100px) 100vw, 1100px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I want to share the backstory for this week&#8217;s \u00a0&#8220;Image of the Week&#8221;&#8230; Jennifer was referred to me by one of my previous brides who has since become one of my dearest friends &#8230;thus setting the tone for a great connection between us.
