This bride and groom wanted a relaxed backyard Hamptons wedding at the bride's mother's home in Watermill.
Watermill is located in the township of Southampton.
I love photographing backyard weddings, no two are alike, it will be new location for me to explore and canvas to create.
The wedding ceremony took place poolside adjacent to two beautiful Sperry tents. One tent for the cocktail hour and one for the reception.
During the cocktail hour we escaped for a few moments to capture a few bride and groom portraits.
This portrait has beautiful backlight from the late afternoon sun. I love using backlight as it adds dimension and mood to a photograph. It showcases this bride's beautiful long hair as well.
Typically, backyard weddings on the East End have a natural and relaxed vibe, which I love. This couple did not want to spend a lot of time on portraits, rather they wanted to mingle with their friends and family and eat good barbeque.
The photos below showcase the overall scene of the backyard in relation to the ceremony site and the two tents, both during the ceremony as well as into the evening. As always, string lights and lanterns add so much to your decor and mood.
