When Sara & Jim booked me to be their photographer in 2012 – Their plan was to have a romantic 6:30pm ceremony on the rooftop of the Allegria Hotel in Long Beach NY. The plans also included taking photos on the beach as well as the infamous Long Beach Board Walk.
Fast forward to May 25th 2013… Hurricane Sandy destroyed the boardwalk – It rained (poured actually) day before and all morning of their wedding – when the sun finally came out in the afternoon so did ferocious 40 mph winds – as a result the ceremony was held indoors.
Sara and Jim were not focused on these changes or “disappointments” (if you will)…rather they were focused on one another and all their friends and family that came out to celebrate their marriage.
This spoke volumes to me not only of their character but their love for each other and it was truly an honor for me to be a part of that.
