Photographing Kristen and Jason’s Brooklyn engagement session at Prospect Park was a welcome change of scenery for me.
Prospect Park has the perfect combination of gorgeous scenery and architecture.
Plus it is not overly crowded.
Kristen and Jason both live in Brooklyn and wanted their neighborhood to be the backdrop for their portraits.
Here are some of my favorites from the day.
Prospect Park has so many fantastic bridges and arches.
I fell in love with this whimsical cast iron railing at the Lullwater bridge and how color played off Kristen’s dress too.
Here we stopped at the historic Lefferts House.
Sometimes my favorite photos from a session do not showcase a background at all…rather, dramatic light and and emotive feeling .
I am really grateful and honored that Kristen and Jason found me online and asked me to be their wedding photographer.
They will be getting married in the Spring at The Jedediah Hawkins Inn located in Jamesport on the North Fork of Long Island.
I have secretly been wishing that I would get hired to shoot at this charming Inn, I am so glad that my wish came true and that it will be with this kind and appreciative couple.
