Islip Town Hall Intimate Wedding | Wendy & Herber
I am so excited to share this intimate wedding at Islip Town Hall.
After Wendy and Herber exchanged vows inside the courthouse we went to Scully Mansion at Seatuck Environmental for family formals and bride and groom portraits.
Another term that is relatively new for intimate weddings is “micro wedding.”
Huff Post Weddings describes micro weddings as:
- An abbreviated celebration of marriage that only has a handful of invited guests (commonly 20 or less)
- Shorter in duration and is more simple in format
- Relaxed in atmosphere and less stress to organize than a traditional wedding
I photographed this wedding in early February before the Coronavirus pandemic hit the United States.
In fact I photographed several micro weddings and elopements in 2019 before Covid 19.
One thing they all have in common is that the couple never regretted having a small wedding.
Over the years, I have heard some from brides and grooms regret having had large weddings and bridal parties.
That can be overwhelming.
Small weddings allow the couple to focus on their union.
Going forward in a post Covid 19 world I do think couples are going to reevaluate their wedding planning and opt for smaller affairs.
Whether that means a City Hall Wedding, Town Hall, Courthouse, backyard, local park or an historic mansion.
Whatever you decide I would love to help you plan your elopement, micro wedding or reschedule your event due to Covid 19.
And not only capture your memories but provide you with outstanding service, whether you need ideas or location suggestions too.
