Long Island Proposal Photographer
I am so excited to share this Port Jefferson surprise marriage proposal!
Chris proposed to Maddie the day after Thanksgiving.
Maddie thought she was going to a party at Danford’s Hotel & Marina for their neighbors – instead Chris proposed marriage!
Maddie was totally surprised and I loved capturing her exuberant reaction!
After Maddie said, ‘Yes!” We took some engagement photos around the harbor.
Port Jefferson Harbor made for a picturesque setting – crisp weather – fall color and the festive Christmas decorations were a bonus.
Well done Chris!
Sharing some of my favorites from their special day!
I arrived early to scout the location for the best spot. I loved the framing of the porch against the harbor with the ferry “ticket booth” to the left.
My awesome assistant was able to keep people from walking in the frame when Chris kneeled.
The seagull is real and not photoshopped – I was thrilled when it flew into the frame. I love how the black and white edit showcases this image.
I had my assistant holding an off camera light for the above photo – this optimized the lighting as well as retained the colors of the sky and water.
The sun was setting and we took this silhouette on the dock as the ferry pulled in on the left.
I always take a photo of the engagement ring with my macro lens.
Maddie’s stunning gold set -3 stone engagement ring was designed by Elegant Jewelers in Woodbury.
Best wishes always to Maddie and Chris!
