I am so happy to share this Shelter Island engagement session on my blog!
Shelter Island is an awesome location to photograph both engagement sessions and weddings.
Sangmi and Mark were referred to me by my 2017 bride and groom: Laurin and Rick.
When Sangmi and Mark contacted me to photograph their engagement session, they originally were deciding between two locations, New York City or Martha’s Vineyard.
When Martha’s Vineyard did not pan out, I suggested Shelter Island.
The scenery and picturesque views on Shelter Island are magical and the sheer privacy is most welcome when having one’sphoto taken.
You don’t have to contend with crowds, gawkers or photobombers passing through the background (lol).
Just pure peace and quiet.
We rode the ferry from Sag Harbor together and drove around stopping at various niches.
It was fun and it was as if we had the entire island all to ourselves.
Sharing some of my favorite images from their session.
Sangmi has such an infectious laugh so it was easy to capture them having a good time and smiling.
The weather was actually overcast and cloudy.
I brought my assistant with me and he held my off camera light to create the illusion of a sunny afternoon in some images.
Channeling American Gothic.
Thank you for inviting me to photograph this special time in your lives Sangmi and Mark.
Wishing you continued laughter and happiness always! x0x0
